I know, it seems like every doggy has their hand out these days... its a virtual "Dogsaster Movie" out there every day. At the Dear ol' Dad household we have to stretch a dime into a quarter on a weekly basis. We have robbed Peter so many times that Paul won't take our calls!!!
Wouldn't it be nice if there was a place where a dog could go to ask for help? One place where a dog could get someone to lend a hand when emergencies arise?
Dad and I have been toying around with the idea of creating such a place... driven with the power of the Charming Chin! Our idea is still in the oven but we figure that enough folks love the Sophie Style that if we created and sold a very unique line of Sophie SWAG (Stuff We All Get) and put all the money collected over the cost to manufacture to our fund. Then, when a emergency came a knockin'... we could help you answer the door! We could even join forces with some of the rescues to promote their efforts.
Much more to come on this as we finish baking the idea.... but its all about YOU, the silent masses of dogs. Face it, we're all just looking for our "Forever". Just ask yourself "What would YOU do if it was your furkid?"

Election 2012 Results

At the End of the Night... We were NOT Victorious

Good Morning Everyone... it was a long night, full of ups and downs. The voice of Facebook was clear. My running mate and good friend Clint Chin and I were victorious by a landslide in the PUPular vote. However... it appears Washington d... oes not recognize the vote of the people here on Facebook. Clint and I, as hard as we worked... as hard as YOU all worked... did not collect any Electoral votes. With 270 needed... we have zero. I'm afraid we will not be declared winners and I will not be going to Washington as your President. I'd like to wish my opponent and President Elect, Mr. Obama, good luck in the next four years. I hope he took good notice of the support, the growth and the voice of the CHINdependent party. I hope he realizes he is accountable to all of you, as you are the real vessels of change in this Nation.
Mr. Obama has a rare opportunity to finish the job he started... an opportunity only given to 4 former Presidents of his party in the last 100 years. It is up to him to reach across the isle and grasp the hands of the Republicans and the Chindependents that make up the Congress.
To Mr. Romney. I know your disappointment... first hand. I know that, in your heart, you had a plan and a visiion for America... as did Clint and I. I know the sadness of seeing your dream of years come to an end in one night. All I can say to you is... Dude, the entire dog on the roof of your car thing was WHACK!
In closing... I would ask that all of you, my supporters, my faithful following, you people of Chindependent spirit... NEVER GIVE UP. Expect more from your leaders. Continue to work hard and insist on good and honest values for yourself and your family. Hold your elected officials accountable. Let them know YOUR VOICE WILL BE HEARD TODAY, TOMORROW and EVERY DAY. Clint and I love you... we support you and we respect you. We may never run again but I will always remember the time of my life over the past few months. The dream of a dog as President is not dead... its just napping on the back of the couch. God Bless and keep all of you for the next 4 years and beyond. Thank you again for being the type of people that believe in a talking dog taking the highest job in the land. Good Day and Goodbye!

Pause a Moment...

Pause a moment and let me bathe in the sites and smells of our time together here at this place We may never pass this way again, my old friend, so let me feel the wind in my face and your loving arms around me. I have lived a thousand moments just like this pne, with you... each sweet like the smell of a rose and wonderful like the spring rain on my face. Each one as different as the snowflakes but the same as ripples on the water. You are my best friend, my champion, my spirit, my voice and my salvation when no other person took the time to care... you, friend, are my life.
If I were to end today, never taking a breath again, I would gladly go knowing I have lived a life full of moments others only dream of... each made better by sharing them with you.
When that time comes, as it will oh to soon, you must let me go. Do not dwell on my passing but, instead, remember our wonderful times, the bond that we share and the memories we made... together. I will wait for you to join me. with each moment seeing me grow more anxious to just sit with you again... here, together... pausing for a moment on this bridge. I love you more than you know and more than I can ever express. Know that this is not and end... this is the start of forever
