Dear ol' Dad's Cranberry Bread Pudding
What you need...
How to make it...
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Grease a 6-cup loaf pan with butter. You can use a bigger pan but it won't be as good
Whisk together eggs, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and cranberry sauce until well mixed and smooth. Stir in half-and-half. bread and pecans. Let the mixture sit for 30 minutes, stirring when you walk by.
Pour the mixture into the buttered pan. Bake until the pudding is set in the center, about an hour. Let cool for 5 minutes.
Dad tops it with either a simple powdered sugar glaze (milk, powdered sugar, vanilla) or he cooks some vanilla pudding and spoons it hot over the top.

Nine Layer Taco Dip

Sophie Sez ... the title of this dish is what we might call any children of The Bitty and Finn (think about it... you'll laugh in about an hour)
Find a large deep plastic container preferably a square deep one with a lid.
First layer - spread one can of refried beans
Second layer - spread one layer (2 cups) of taco sauce
Third layer - 3 avocadoes mashed with salt & garlic
Fourth layer - 1 500 ml of sour cream mixed with a pack of taco seasoning
Fifth layer - two tomatoes chopped
Sixth layer - shredded cheese
Seventh layer - green onions sliced
Eighth layer - two jalepenos sliced
Ninth layer - olives sliced
Serve with taco chips! A fave a every party
Easy Raspberry Oatmeal Bars
Three Cheese Macaroni Bake

Sophie Sez... its got cheeze, bacon and pasta! You could mix that with poop and it would be good (or at least thats what the Bitty says)
1/2 pound elbow macaroni
3 slices bacon
1 1/2 tsps minced garlic
3 large eggs
1 12 oz can evap milk
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
1 1/2 c sharp grated cheddar (not dull cheddar!!)
1/2 c grated monterrey jack cheese
1/2 c grated parmesian
Preheat oven to 475 degrees. In large pot of boiling salted water cook macaroni 6 minutes (it will be undercooked) Drain. Heat a small skillet over medium and fry
bacon. cook around 10 minutes until bacon is crisp. Add garlic for 30 seconds. Move bacon to medium bowl, add macaroni, stir. In large bowl, wisk eggs and
evap milk. Add 1/2 tsp salt, cayenne, nutmeg, and cheeses. Mix well. Add mac
mixture and stir to combine. Transfer to 8 or 9 in square baking dish. Spread
mixture to form even layer. Bake 12 minutes until sauce is bubbling. Set for 10
Cranberry Walnut Cookies
Sophie Sez... Dad told me a joke about walnuts once but I'm not allowed to repeat it to ANYONE!
2/3 cup butter softened
1 cup sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup milk
2 tblsp lemon juice
3 cups all purpose flour
1/4 c ground walnuts
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
2 1/2 cups halved frozen or fresh cranberries
1 cup chopped walnuts In a bowl
Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, milk, and lemon juice. Combine the flour, ground walnuts, baking powder, salt, and baking soda, gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in the cranberries and chopped walnuts. Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls 2 in apart onto a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 16-18 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to wire racks to cool. YUM!!
