Dad stopped updating my website about 40 days ago. Work got too hectic, life got too fast and Dad got too lazy. I tried to talk to him about it but he was in a blue funk and lost his "Creative Edge". So we sorta forgot about Sophie Across America... after all, who would miss the adventures of this silly old dog and her round mound of Daddy???
So the other day we stumbled across an old email or two from friends who sent us some content and comments. Dad decided to look at the "stats" for the past month and... much to his shock... we were averaging 20 to 30 "hits" a day. People were checking in to check us out, event though the content never changed.
That is amazing, to us. People, who we don't really know, taking time from their personal lives to drop in for a laugh... or sometimes a cry. It appeared this old dog and older man did have some gas left in the tank. So yesterday Dad popped up some fresh content and BOOM, 85 of you dropped in today.
Now we know that we won't always get 85... and at some point the material gets stale (how much stuff can you write, how many photos can you goof on????) but, for a while, we'll try to keep it fresh and fun... maybe try some new stuff to entertain all of you.
In the mean time let me give my personal thanks to all of you who believe in Sophie... the ones that are willing to take the leap and "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain". If you can believe in the adventures of a nilly, willy, silly old dog... maybe there is a Santa Clause.
